Why I Brought It Home
I found this while thrifting in Austin at a pay-by-the-pound warehouse.
Unfortunately, this particular warehouse charged $15 per pound, and denim jackets a hefty, making this one of the more expensive thrift-store denim jackets I’ve ever bought. I’ll probably just break even on it, and honestly, that’s okay. Sometimes it’s worth it to just get the cool piece.
Meet the Piece
The pointed shoulder yokes, slanted flap pockets, smaller collar, and clean lines don’t fit neatly into one category. It’s not quite a trucker jacket, not quite western, not quite chore coat. It feels like its own design.
and my favorite thing about this jacket is that it is from Target. It’s vintage Target. Who would have thought Target would be the one to break the mold and create a denim jacket that is so couture it doesn’t fit into a category
