Why I Brought It Home

This was my favorite find from the entire Austin sourcing trip.

It’s playful and fun and I’m realizing that playfulness is one of the values I want Carroll House Goods to carry into the world. Vintage reminds us that clothing doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes it’s simply meant to bring joy.

Meet The Piece

Built on a classic Fruit of the Loom sweatshirt, someone lovingly hand cross-stitched the word “Bingo” across the front, complete with a golden bingo dauber. The stitching transforms an ordinary sweatshirt into something wonderfully unexpected. It’s playful, cozy, and completely one of a kind.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition. The hand cross-stitch embroidery is beautifully intact with gentle wear consistent with age.
