Why I Brought Them Home

 Beth and I spent part of our Austin trip wandering thrift stores together.

She was looking for summer clothes, while I was hunting for vintage treasures. It turned into one of my favorite days. I’d spot dresses and lightweight sweaters that felt perfectly her, and we’d pass things back and forth across the racks.

These shorts ended up coming home with me.

I don’t wear many shorts myself, which actually makes them intimidating for me to source. But these immediately reminded me of the kind of white denim I wore in the ’90s. The kind I would have worn with Bass boat shoes, and an Esprit tee with the sleeves rolled up.
